I’m now going to tell you how this wonderful chair came about: If most of you believe that only creative masterminds sit here at John Barber’s and create one chair after the other, I’m afraid I have to disappoint you… Even we run out of creativity sometimes, but then we remember that we don’t have to invent anything from scratch, we solely have to look at what was there in the past and bring it back to life. That was the case with “Cerise”. I found a picture from 1998 where three old rundown chairs from the 20s were depicted, they had this interesting colour combination, this deep red was so elegantly and generously stretched over the upholstery, along with its timeless framework. Once our Strawberry Cheesecake made its debut, we obviously couldn’t forget the cherries.
