Before using the appliance for the first time, read the operating instructions in full and familiarise yourself with the appliance.

DANGER! Danger to life due to electric shock and risk of fire and explosion! Contact with energised cables or components can be fatal! Danger to life if the energised device comes into contact with water!

Ensure that the voltage specification (V) on the rating plate of the appliance matches the mains voltage!

Do not pull the mains cable over sharp edges, pinch it or allow it to hang down. The mains cable must be protected from heat and moisture. The mains cable must not be stretched or strained.

The mains cable must not touch any hot parts of the appliance!

Always switch off the appliance after use!

Only insert the mains plug into the socket when the appliance is switched off!

Never wrap the mains cable around the appliance!

Always disconnect the mains plug when cleaning the appliance, in the event of malfunctions or when the appliance is not in use!

Do not place the appliance and power cable on hot surfaces such as hobs or similar and do not place them in the direct vicinity of naked flames!

Check that the appliance is in perfect condition before each start-up; it must not be put into operation if - it is not working properly - the supply cable is damaged - the appliance has visible damage - the appliance has been dropped - or if it has fallen into water.

If the mains cable is damaged, it may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service centre or a qualified electrician in order to avoid a hazard!

Repairs may only be carried out by an authorised service centre or by a qualified electrician using original spare parts.

Never immerse the appliance in water.

The appliance must NOT be cleaned under running water!

Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, shower trays or other vessels containing water.

If the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use, as proximity to water is a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.

Do not pull the mains plug out of the socket by the mains cable or with wet hands!

The charging station and the appliance must be protected from heat and moisture.

The charging station may only be used to charge the intended device.

To prevent hazardous situations caused by accidental resetting of the thermal circuit breaker, this appliance must not be connected to an external switching device such as a timer, an outlet whose power supply is unstable or disconnected, or to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility company.

Never use the appliance in environments where there is a high concentration of aerosol (spray) products or where oxygen is released.

Never spray the device with aerosol (spray) products labelled as flammable.

Protect the appliance from dust, dirt and lint.

Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

Only wipe the appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth.

As an additional safety measure, we recommend installing a tested residual current device (RCD) with a rated tripping current of no more than 30 mA in the circuit. Ask your electrician for advice.

This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above.

The appliance must not be used by children or persons with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or by persons who lack the relevant knowledge and experience, unless they have been instructed in the safe use of the appliance or use it under supervision. - Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

The appliance is not a toy!

Switch off the appliance during long interruptions to the cutting process!

Never carry the appliance by the cable.

Protect the appliance from the effects of the weather, e.g. moisture or direct sunlight! The appliance is not approved for outdoor use.

The appliance is not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher!

Packaging materials, e.g. foil bags, do not belong in the hands of children.

Only use the accessories supplied.

If the appliance is defective, never attempt to repair it yourself, as improper repairs can cause considerable danger to the user.

If the appliance is damaged, please contact your specialist dealer or the manufacturer.

Intended use This appliance is to be used exclusively for cutting and styling human hair. Any other use is not permitted. No liability is accepted for any damage caused by misuse, incorrect operation or improper repair.

Safety instructions for lithium batteries
Lithium batteries are lithium-manganese cells. Never open the lithium batteries, throw them into a fire or expose them to shocks, as toxic vapours may escape or there is a risk of explosion. Never touch leaking cells with bare hands. If the eyes or hands become contaminated, rinse with plenty of water; if the skin or eyes become irritated, consult a doctor.

Waste from electrical appliances at the end of their service life

Do not dispose of electrical appliances with household waste. In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment and its transposition into national law, used electrical appliances must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. Recycling alternative to the return request: The owner of the electrical appliance is obliged to co-operate in the proper recycling in the event of relinquishment of ownership instead of returning it. For this purpose, the old appliance can also be handed over to a collection centre that carries out disposal in accordance with the national Closed Substance Cycle and Waste Management Act. This does not apply to accessories and aids without electrical components that are enclosed with the old appliance. The product packaging consists of recyclable materials. Dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner and recycle it.

Battery disposal

As a consumer, you are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries and rechargeable batteries as hazardous waste.

Discharge rechargeable batteries before disposal!

After removing the rechargeable battery, the device must be disposed of and must NOT be reused.

CAUTION! Risk of injury due to defective, leaking battery!

The battery used contains substances that can cause injury through skin contact or inhalation. If there is a leaking battery in your device, you may only remove it from the device wearing rubber gloves and dispose of it properly in a closed container. In accordance with European Directive 2013/56/EU, defective rechargeable batteries must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. The following options are available for disposal: - through a specialist dealer; - a collection centre marked with the GRS symbol; - through the special waste containers provided by the local authorities. Further disposal instructions can be obtained from your local authority or municipal administration.
